Cheap green cleaning for your pets

Some of the cleaning products that you may use can not only be harmful to you, but also your pets. Some of the green cleaning supplies that you’ve seen may be a bit pricey for your tastes. However if you’re looking to chop the price tag, just a few household items that you probably already have can do the trick:

Cleaning the toilet bowl
If Fido is famous for drinking out of the toilet bowl, whether you want him to or not, the cleaning supplies you use in the bowl could be hazardous to his health. Try this option instead: Using a spray bottle, spray about a cup of white vinegar into the bowl. After that, throw about a ¼ cup worth of baking soda onto the vinegar. Lastly, use a little water and wipe the area down with a toilet brush. This is non-toxic and the taste of the vinegar might even discourage your dog from drinking there anymore.

Vacuuming
Instead of that chemical carpet cleaner that could be bad for your pets, consider sprinkling baking soda on your rug. Let it sit for 15 minutes and then vacuum it up. The baking soda has some great cleaning capabilities and is not bad for your pets.

Cleaning floors
Seeing your pet lick something off the floor probably isn’t a rare sight. Using a formula similar to the toilet bowl one, you can clean your floor well and keep your pet from licking up some chemicals. Use white vinegar, diluted with some water if you wish, and clean your floors with that. It will act just like ammonia or bleach without having the toxic chemicals.
